The Pond control room is virtually identical to the Gallery Control
Room in design, dimension, and technology. Featuring an SSL 9072
J Series console and the same complement of outboard equipment,
the Pond differs only in decor and the design of the studio space.
Three
large, sonically diverse rooms provide a variety of acoustic options
for recording and overdubbing. The Slate Room has an abundance
of stone and glass reflective surfaces, and is a favorite for drums
and percussion. The Cherry Room features wood floors and diffusors,
and is home to one of the studios two Yamaha conservatory grand
pianos.
The
Pond Room is absorbtive and quite popular for vocals; it features
electrically polarized windows which can instantly switch from
opaque to transparent, allowing a pastoral view of the outside
garden and fountain.
